PARLOUR GAMES

This type of game is designed to liven up family occasions or evenings with friends and fill them with fun and laughter. Some games have an educational or cultural aspect, while others are for testing the players’ skills, either individually or in a group; some games are also highly dependent on luck. All of them ensure an evening of entertainment for the players.

The highlight of this section is the Pika-Forth game, which possibly dates back to the 1930s. Created by Agàpit Borràs, it is a game of skill in which the player with the greatest dexterity beats the player with the greatest strength. There is also a 1930s version of “Dómino Cómico”, an amusing domino game also created by Borràs around 1907, on display. In it, combining the tiles continues the series of pictures of the characters that appear on them.
